When Social Coding launched two years ago, local volunteers were the first to pick up the mantle. Some found creative ways of contributing to our workshops by either running the programs or writing the content that went into our curriculums, making sure that scholars locally would be exposed to revolutionary digital education.

Over time, the voices of these volunteers have joined together. Their actions have spread across six cities and 40+ primary and high school campuses, impacting 685 children living in low resource areas. At Social Coding, We believe that it is about time that South Africa, and Africa as a whole invests in global leadership training for young women and men.

We support programs that include mentorship, extracurricular activities, sex education, life skills training, and sometimes even a dormitory‚ÄĒeverything that sets a scholar up for success outside the classroom.
